Round 5: Drop in the Ocean

This is for Round 5 of the model challenge being run by  of in which everyone was given a photograph featuring water in some form or another.  I was VERY thrilled to get this beautiful picture of a sunset (at least, I'm assuming it's a sunset. Could be a sunrise too I guess. *L*) over a very calm sea.  i2.photobucket.com/albums/y8/A… I think what I like most about this one is the way that it feels so real.  It's not the most breathtaking sunset I've ever seen, but then, where I live most of them aren't.  And when I go to the Oregon Coast it tends to be chilly, but I still enjoy going, even in colder months, and I've seen quite a few sunsets like this one, where there are clouds, and it might be kind of cold, and the sea looks like a blending of cool grey and glimmering gold.  So to me, this one feels more real than a more idyllic-looking one might.  Aaaanyway, after deciding I loved my assigned inspiration, I was faced with the prospect of finding a way to represent it in a dress.  I'm not sure I truly did it justice, but I did try to incorporate the various colors going on in this as well as the gentle motion of the sea and the different aspects of the sky that the water was reflecting.  I decided to tint her cape to look like the gradually darkening sky that I imagine continues on above where the picture leaves off.  Despite it being a bit different, I think my resident pegasus, Alphera would be happy with it.  As always though, feedback is welcome and appreciated.
